These days it seems as though everyone likes to play online slots. From people in the United States to those in Europe and even in Canada. Now, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, also known as OLG, has been discussing the possibility about introducing online gambling, including free online slots, to the most populous province in Canada for a great deal of time now. In late November the OLG was expected to publish their Request for Proposals putting all online gambling technology and software companies on tremendous alert.
The Gaming Corporation will operate all upcoming online gambling programs in the province of Ontario including online casinos as well as sportsbooks in Canada. Now, the hopes are that with the publication of the Request for Proposals the process of selecting online software providers may finally begin. Ontario is planning on catching up to fellow provinces like Quebec and British Columbia, where playing online casino games is already legal and is very popular amongst the community. In 2010 the Corporation officially announced their plans to offer online gambling option, after finding out that the people of Ontario were estimated to spend around Cdn$400 million on gambling at foreign based sites.
Ever since the Canadian online gambling laws have been modified to allow online gambling in the province, OLG has been researching the most popular gambling practices around the globe, intending to launch its own online casino in early 2012. Canada gambling news now know that OLG is expected to introduce both online casino games and online lottery tickets. The online casino practices will be off-limits to anyone younger than 19 and lottery will only be available to those that are 18-years of age or older.
